In honor of Veterans Day and all who have served, Miami’s 2nd Annual Warrior For Life community sunset yoga event was held at the beautiful and spacious Musuem Park, situated right next to the PAMM Museum. The goal of the annual session was to raise awareness for Post Traumatic Stress and provide a peaceful and safe environment for Veterans, their family members and the community to come together and breathe together.
I was invited by good friend Mary Keel, Ambassador for Connected Warrior. “Warrior For Life was inspired by a warrior and dedicated to the warrior in all of us! It’s symbolizes strength, courage and commitment. By bringing the community and veterans together in honor of all who serve, we can access that inner strength collectively through breath and movement and elevate awareness around Post Traumatic Stress.” The yoga class was led by Judy Weaver, co-founder of Connected Warriors and included a guided meditation by Molly Birkholm, founder of Warriors At Ease. The free event was open to all veterans, military personnel and the general public. Although free, donations were accepted to support the two causes serving veterans and their families.
