Baltimore’s Little Italy’s Got Talent

This past weekend, I transitioned from Miami (the Magic City) to just outside of Baltimore (the Charm City).  The talent here has already captivated me which I was beyond grateful for, since the weather (overcast, gray skies and misty rain) did not welcome me upon arrival.  Needless to say, I was happy to get out of the house on Sunday, October 2nd and start to explore.  The day before, I found note of the Madonnari Arts Festival in a magazine my mom happened to have sitting on a table.  So I decided it would be a good first step to getting to know my new, old home (another story for another time).

RAIN OR SHINE THE FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD ALL THREE DAYS! Madonnari artists are accustomed to battling the elements.  The artists will work under tents and will cover their artwork with tarps in the event of showers.

And here are some of the artists and their creations:

I’m really excited about finding and getting involved with the art scene here.  I felt a true sense of calm when I walked into the festival; watching artists work and being immersed in their creative energy/spirits is very refreshing for me.  Now, to find more…
