Nighttime happens to be one of my favorite times to go out and photograph. Recently, with the encouragement from a friend, I’ve decided to develop my light painting skills a bit with a little project we call #PortalExcursions. Here’s a sample of a few snaps we’ve created thus far.
The mini-project will occur through posts made on instagram as we try to increase our creativity in the dark. Interested in learning how to paint with light? If you’re in the Miami, feel free to join us (follow and DM us on instagram: @antjphotog or @germanevy). Shout out to @eins7ein for helping with the shutter release last weekend!
The gear you’ll need: your camera, a tripod, and a decent light source (cell phone flashlight, LED light, etc.)
What do you think of our images above?
Well done! Love the one with the wings
As soon as a spotted the location (by chance one evening) I knew I had to use it as a backdrop.
I’m going to be in Florida later this month and into March for a wedding in Tampa. I might be able to find some time to head down to Miami. If I do, you’re buying the beer. 🙂
Consider it done…lmk if you need an assistant for the wedding http://antjphotog.500px.com
