Photos, Photos & More Photos

The last two weeks,  there have been slew of photography group outtings,  meetups and walks. Four in particular were the Leica Store Miami Instameet, the 500px Fujifilm Global Photowalk, Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk and Worldwide InstaMeet 2015 (Miami celebrated this one as #instabirthdaymeet).  Each event, centered around groups of photography enthusiasts meeting,  mingling and snapping photos. The interesting motivator around the themes of each event was community,  and actually interacting amongst people, not just hiding behind your camera,  tablet or smartphone and  pretending to be social online. All in all, the weekends were great, lots of new connections were made, old connections rekindled and tons of photos taken. I’m still playing catch up  but here’s a sampling of images from all of the events.

Leica Store Miami Instameet (#lsminstameet)
Leica Store Miami located in Coral Gables, hosted a photography meetup and gave a number of individuals an opportunity to shoot with the Leica M & Q model cameras.

500px Fujifilm Global Photowalk (#500pxGPW15)
“The 500px Fujifilm Global Photo Walk is an annual worldwide event where thousands of photographers come together on the same day to celebrate their local communities through their love for photography. Beautiful photos and experiences had during the photo walks are shared, enjoyed, and discussed on 500px.”

Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk (#WWPW2015)
“It’s the social photography event of the year and you’re invited.  We all want to make beautiful images. We all want to make new friends. We all want to help children in need.
And for one awesome day each year, all three come together in a really fun way, and we want you to be a part of it.”

Worldwide InstaMeet 2015 (#WWIM12)
“This weekend, we’re putting the Weekend Hashtag Project on hold for the 12th Worldwide InstaMeet. The theme of #WWIM12 is to share #todayimet portraits of the people you meet this weekend. To help others connect to new and interesting people, ask the subject of your portrait about their favorite Instagram accounts, and include them in your caption with the #whoifollow hashtag.”
