Day 8/30 #SMCSFblog challenge
Yesterday after shooting Miami Webcongress, I decided to tune down the activated social media techie in me and check out Wynwood in advance of Saturday’s Artwalk.
I stopped by Rise Up Gallery to check out Bisco Smith’s solo exhibit “PUSH – Studies in Elevation“. The first thing I noticed was the use of only black and white (and hues in between). There were a few perceived city scopes that I saw that were pretty cool too.
The photo above was one I took of the gallery from the doorway. Shifting from the top to bottom frame was exactly how I viewed the exhibit within seconds before even having walking though the door… I was in Heaven.

Wow! What a difference the black and white filter make.
Jeff, the funny thing is, with the arts (exhibitions, events, etc) I always see b/w first before I start photographing.
